he won something with rangers, whilst they were good, in scotland... i feel i could do similar ben!

he won promotion with a then massively rich club..... again i'm sure i could do that.

add to this he's scottish and he should'vebeen put down ages ago

Nah he got Blackburn promoted in 2001, they were massively rich in the early 90s but not so much then.

Souness won the LC with Blackburn didn't he?  More than Newcastle have ever won...similarly his mate King Kenny could win the title with Blackburn but not Newcastle.

Be interesting to see who takes over.

Most people will say Shearer but I'm not so sure he'd want it at the moment. If it doesn't work out then people will remember him for that, and not for his legend status as a player.

Bit of a pig of a job for anyone at the moment.

Usual names will be touted, Curbishley, Pearce, Allardyce, Dowie, King.

I'll be gutted if they snatch Gazza before we can get him. Time to get him signed up now!

Shearer can't take over because he hasn't done the qualifications.

he can only be a caretaker for 12 weeks

How do you start with a squad that's finished top six for 2 or 3 seasons running, spend £50m and end up with the shit that he's got at Newcastle?

Oh yeah by being crap.
