Does anyone still bother with CD's?
I've been MP3'd up for years and haven't bothered but on the verge of buying a home entertainment thingy-ma-bob my collection of actual CD's is pitifully inadequate and rather amusing to the eye.
Does anyone still bother then?
Ohh and I need new speakers for my PC anyone suggest some thankyou please?

I always buy CD's. I love them, the booklet and watching my collection grow. I don't use a mp3, Ipod etc, headphones and stuff do my head in.
I never really download any music, apart from stuff that isn't out yet. But then, I usually go out and buy the album.

I used to buy albums because you do notice the difference on an expensive hi-fi. Since I've been at uni and don't have my expensive hi-fi I just download. Burnt loads into proper music cds but they don't sound as good on my hi-fi in swindon, so when i start working I guess I'll start buying cds again.

Why don't you buy some blank disks and burn them to cd? Then you can play them that way.

Where's cheapest nowadays for CD's then mongrels? As long as you've got a stereo with an "aux" facility all you need is a splitter cable that goes fom your ipod to the left and right imputs on the stereo. costs about tree fiddy

I'm about 50/50 between buying and downloading.
If it's something I really like I will still go and buy it.

Why don't you buy some blank disks and burn them to cd? Then you can play them that way. Can't stand burnt CD's they drive me mad. I'm rather an unorginized messy sort of chap but CD's and DVD's have to be done properly or not at all. Burnt CD's I find just don't last with me and even with CD printed labels and photo paper laser printed jewel case inserts I still don't feel comfortable with em. :-- I may get one of those iPod docking stations with remote though that could work. I do feel like I should go and buy a few CD's to make the effort though.

I may get one of those iPod docking stations with remote though that could work. A mate sold off his bang & olufsen system (bloody expensive kit too) and replaced it with something you just pop the iPod into as his main music thing at home, he's happy as Larry with it. Don't know if you can sort you're own speakers etc.. but worth looking into maybe?
