Im sorry yes he got a goal saturday,
( dont I know it, the bloke next to me nearly took my head of when he put his arm around me in some kinda headlock when he scored)
but did anybody else get the feeling that Mr Fallon looked like the player he was when he first came here,
Hardly running about, with a lack of motivation?
It might have just been me and I hope it was and if it wasnt then lets just hope its a blip. or maybe all the transfer/contract talk is getting him down?

What do you reckon?

But with Cureton running around like a schoolkid with ADHD Fallon couldn't exactly go anywhere. If he had ran around as much as Curo he would have got in his way. To be fair to Fallon he didn't have a great game (and he kept falling over - there's a surprise!) but he did manage to link up well with Curo with some nice flick ons etc..

Just because he doesn't have pace to burn doesn't make him lazy. I thought he got around the pitch ok, but his job is to be a target man so he needs crosses  :-))(

I agree with the first post.

He looked lazy and uninterested.  I think Curo worked so hard and started to look like the Curo who we wanted when he signed. I also think with him and Peacock up front, we would look far more lively.
Fallon couldn't stay on his feet Saturday and when chasing balls, was outpaced every time. Curo and Peacock proved to me (even though Peacock was only on a short time) that they wanted to be on that pitch and wanted to impress and thats the kind of player I want to see play for Swindon Town.

Fallon had a better 2nd half however if his current form continues then I personally would consider sidelining him until he puts the effort in that we pay our money to see.

I agree with the second post. Fallon did his job as usual very well and despite Peacock being ace I think we'd miss Fallon if he left.

Fallon had a difficult game against a big central defender, normally he's winnign everything in the air

I wouldn't say winning everything in the air to be honest.

For his height he could do better and misjudges quite a few balls.  The problem I find is when he does win it, he doesn't do much with it - unless occasionally its bang in front of the goal mouth.

Mark of a good striker is to have a bad game and still score. And OK, Fallon's no Shearer, but remember SSP used to have games (not often but some) where he'd be largely anonymous and then would pop up and score the winner or the equaliser. Which is what you want from a striker - yes, it's nice to have them charging about all over the pitch, contributing to general play etc, but the bottom line with a striker is always going to be is he scoring? Fallon is - and what's more if he hadn't been, we really would be in a Sunderland-styleee world of poo.

I think that Fallon needs to be given more time, this may be a touch of poor form or tiredness creeping in.
As long as Iffy can point out to him where he is going wrong then I'm confident he would go out there and do his 100% best to put it right.

I agree with most of the comments on Fallon, however he was never going to keep his early season form up for a whole season it was bound to dip somewhere.

He hasnt played well recently but is still scoring goals, which is what ultimately strikers get judged on...which do you think Fallon has attracted interested from other teams, because his names keeps appear on the teletext!!
