Some gimp on tht thisis board reckons we're about to sign Lee Peacock. Do you reckon that could be true? Is Rory on his way out? Is it bollocks?

It sounds kind if feasible.  What do you reckon?

Plus he's hardly going to get us the 15 goals we need! How many has he scored for Wednesday 3, 4?

I wouldn't be at all suprised if Lee Peacock became a Swindon player... But I pray it's not because Fallon is leaving. Bristol City are bidding on an unknown striker. We're losing too many players to them (3 - if Fallon went there - is too many!). The fact Peacock is on a free only makes the rumours realistic I guess.

Cureton would be more likely to go.

Did you know: Lee Peacock named his daughter Cinderella Sky Peacock  Soapy Tit Wank

i was told the same thing a few days ago, apparently onuora is just waiting for sheff weds to release him on a free then he's ours.

not sure what to think. he might be good for us, but then everyone thought that about thorpe & cureton. i would rather keep fallon if i had the option, but it doesn't look like we have a choice.

agree with fatbury, he does seem like a player with the 'christian roberts' attitude. we'll wait & see......

dont rate him at all, and he isnt a goal scorer. Whats his highest league total in a season at this level 9? 10?

He's just as capable as Fallon, imo

I assume any signings are to be made irrespective of selling players.  We all know we need and want a striker with experience, he fits the bill, and I guess we can't really dismiss all experience strikers as a result of thorpe and cureton being disappointing.  He would be a good player IMHO, but similar to Fallon in some respects (I guess this heightens suspicions of his departure), unless we're just gonna play two battering rams up front.

14 for city in 03/04.  Seems to have scored fairly consistently throughout his career, albeit not at an amazing ratio.

From Radio Swindon:

In sport, Swindon Town are hoping to sign striker Lee Peacock from Sheffield Wednesday in time for him to play at the weekend.

The 29 year old former Bristol City forward, who's scored more than a hundred senior goals, is set to agree a permanent move to the County Ground as the Robins try to take some of the pressure off top scorer Rory Fallon.

Don't know that much about him so I'll give him the same chance as every other new signing.
