Would we still be able to command a fee for him if he leaves at the end of his contract?

I know I've changed my tune....but we might as well sell him. We are going down with him or without him. We need to accept this is the begining of the end

If he's going for nothing at the end of the season, then i see little reason in keeping him. Might as well make some money on him

he;s not good enough to play championship football for gods sake. he's barely good enough for league one! his movement is pap, he can't actually time a jump, he can head a ball tho, but he's pretty shoddy alround if you ask me.

get shot of him

I think this level is about Fallon's standard... But I'd rather we made money for him... I think the board will surely see it that way.

The messes we get ourselves into.

we are going to go down anyway! we need the money to make up the further shortfall for next season so selling him now may not be that bad an idea coming to think of it

Well Swindon should realistically look at the chances of Fallon accepting a new contract.

If he doesnt sign a new contract now,  its likely he will leave at the end of the season,  as Swindon cant compete with the finances of most league 1 teams,  let alone league 2 teams.

If thats the case, we should sell Fallon now, and give peacock and cureton a go.   At least Cureton will be here next season, unless we sell him.

Swindon would really be fucking stupid not to cash in on Fallon now.  The only circumstance we shouldnt sell Fallon is if he signs a new contract now.

You're argument has two major flaws.

1).  Since when are League Two teams better off than League One teams?!

2).  Cureton will be here if we get relegated?  Will he fuck!!

I'm apathetic to Fallon's departure - if he stays, great, if he goes I'm sure we can get a replacement.  He's a good squad player, but he's not a star player nor is he something to base the team around.  We'll stay up regardless.

(1)  Ok a few teams in league 2 have better finances the Swindon and can offer better contracts.  Just look at Mooney and the scum.  Swindon were linked with Mayo from Watford i think, but the bloke signed for a league 2 team instead  - most likely due to wages.  Swindon have better finances then some league 2 teams,  but im guessing there are a fair few league 2 teams who can afford to spend more on contracts and players then Swindon.

(2)  If we get relegated then Cureton will defo leave. If we get releagted  then Fallon will leave.  If we stay up,  then Cureton will probably stay - as hes got 1 more year on his contract.  Fallon wiull probably leave,as he wants more money.

The question is,  are Fallons goals for the rest of the season worth £300k ?  If we stay up,  then the answer is yes.   If we go down,  then we effectively are losing £300k
