A Wycombe player died this morning, Mark Philo in a car crash.

Awful  Sad Gutted to hear it.

I can't believe they didn't tell the Wycombe players until after the match as well.  They would have wanted to at least wear a black arm band or have a minutes silence - not just play on as normal.

Yeah I agree.  They mentioned it on goals on Sunday this morning.

I bet that if It had been a player from a premiership club, more would have been done.

maybe not called off, not being insensitive but our game wasnt called off for jimmy davis? I know he wasnt our player but still....actually thinking about it Watfords game was called off wasnt it? Ok forget my original point!

Apparantly he didn't die until 4.20 in the afternoon, and the family had asked for the match to go ahead, knowing that there was no way he was going to pull through.

As bad as it may sound, that is probably the best way to go about it.
It means the game still goes ahead and people haven't had a wastedd journey, and they can pay their respects at the next game, and will have some time to get over the shock before it.

I have to be honest, I didn't know the guy, and I never even saw him play as far as I know.

But until somebody is taken away from you in a motor-accident you never understand how sudden and strange it is, and that's why I felt bad when I heard that story.
