I lazily parked on double yellows in my street, and so deservedly woke up this morning to find a parking ticket on me windscreen.
But wait a minute... it says i was 'parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours'
Is this the same thing, or was the cunting traffic warden just a bit tired (on duty at 21:00 on a Saturday night i tells ya) and fined me wrong?
Basically, can i get away without paying??

No.
Double yellows means no parking full stop, ignore the restriction lark, thats for one yellow (I think).

Yeah. well, sort of. My street has space for so many cars, and then some bits with double yellows that everyone parks on anyway.
My thinking is i will get away without paying.

I went back to my car the other day and someone had kindly taken the time to put a sticker saying 'parking fine' on it.
Which was nice of them, although 'parking very good' would have been better.

you know what I'd do? I would eat the parking ticket and claim Ive never even seen it.
Sometimes I take parking tickets off cars when im drunk. Just to prove it could happen

One of the residents selotaped an A4 piece of paper to my windscreen and it said; I LIKE TO: Obstruct the pavement Block prams and pushchairs Be a nuisance to the general public I tore it up into little pieces and left it on the ground where my car was!

Well i heard a cheeky story about a parking fine, and how someone made money out of the situation.
The person who got the fine had a really posh car, worth somewhere in the region of 100k  . What he did was, on the car he put a sign saying 'if anyone touches this car, and is found to do so, they will obtain a £100 fine'
The man who gave the fine touched the car, and hence had to pay the £100 fine
The initial parking fine was for £50 i think, meaning he made £50 overall

Ha, shame you didnt get the same punishment as parking on double red lines at work, some usless begger clamps your car untill you ask them to remove it. Pointless.....

Did anyone see that program that Paul Xenon did where he did various things to get back at traffic wardens? It was quite amusing the lengths they went to :-))(
