I went for Gerrard but they are slightly different players. Lampard moves the ball about and scores goals whereas Gerrard can hold the ball, make challenges and set up attacks.

Lampard for me, one of the best midfielders in the world. Gerrard is more versatile but Lampard's long shots are better than anyone in the world.

He has 8 more in the league though, 13 to Gerrard's 5, most of Gerrard's were in champions league qualifiers against shite opposition, 5 were against T.N.S. |

Surely a large chunk of Gerrard's goals are attributable to the prelimenary stages of the Champions League, otherwise Lampard's way out in front. |
