who do people think will leave, Raikkonen or Montoya.

I would have thought Ron Dennis would prefer to keep Raikkonen, but this story says Ferrari are being linked with Raikkonen to replace Schumaker.

Depends if they agree to keep it proper, ie team mates racing, no number 1 driver etc.  If it's like ferari where they don't race each other then I could see lots of races becoming a procession.  It'd be good to have the top 2 drivers in the best car at the same time, it would actually be exciting for a change.

Can't get excited by Formula one anymore, bores me to tears.  Although the A1 thing seems pretty good, although the bloody french seem to be kicking arse at the moment.

Odd move. My guess:

Shumi is going to retire. Is Raikkonen going to Ferrari? OR
Are Renault leaving F1 when the Concorde agreement runs out and/or McLaren have realised that they can replace overated fat boy JMP?

Agree F1 is a bit dull now. Oh for the Mansell era.

last years F1 was a mild improvement, there was the odd overtake or 2 in a race, and schumi was wank.

this year, schumi will be back up to pace as they're allowing tyre changes again, michelin are gonna be 2nd best again.

Aren't michelin pulling out for 2007, which surely leaves ferrari with a huge advantage as they have had a long standing development relationship with bridgestone?

Raikkonen was touted to go to Ferrari at the end of last season before all of this. It's definitely his replacement.

Rumour mill at the start of the season (March 2005) said that Raikkonen had signed for Ferrari for 2007 on the recommendation of Schumacher who will be retiring.

Alonso signing for McLaren says that this rumour is true, so Ron Dennis needed to replace Raikkonen. Still surprised me when I saw it though.

On another point - McLaren have always let their drivers race each other, so Monty and Alonso will be allowed to go for it...

2007 will be weird without Shuntmacher in it....
