If the Germans get upset about people reminding them they lost (both) World Wars, maybe it would have helped if they hand't been quite so much in the habit of starting them?
Anyway as I understand it, their fans regard it as being part of the banter, it's just their media and politicos get all worked up about it. Apparently they chant "You put the seats in our Audis" at us. That crazy German sense of humour, eh?
