I get the bus to the Ground which takes just over 5 minutes, i wouldnt want to have to get a ift to a Swindon match that takes 20 minutes+ it just wouldnt be right. What would you feel about my 2 hour drive for a home game then? As long as it's in the vacinity of Swindon, I fail to see the issue.

stfc must remain in swindon,in my opinion there is no reason to move out of town.if the club come up with a reasonable plan instead of that joke one recently then the council will surely give the green light. i think the board want to move really

So suppose the worse happens and the useless council and seemingly apathetic Swindon people force the club to move outside of the borough :x ,would you give up on supporting the club Spuddy?

All joking aside, I'm with Spuddy (and most Town fans, I reckon) - the club called Swindon Town should be located in the Town of Swindon. It's not a question of travel convenience or anything like that, it's a question of the integrity of the club's tradition and history which is bound up in representing the Town of Swindon. Move outside the town and you junk all that, and the club is no longer Swindon Town Football Club representing the tradition and pride of the town, but a business bearing that name.

the clubs original plan is clearly not workable, any council in ther land would have thrown it out. it was a half hearted attempt by the board. do any of them actually support the team,i think if there is a buck to be made they will move us where ever it suits them. if they do a wimbledon they can get fucked

As i've said before,i don't come from Swindon so i don't feel the same connection with Swindon as people who are born and bred there feel.I go because of the loyalty i feel towards the club not because of the town,so if we did move so long as they stayed reasonably close to where we are now i would consider going to watch the team. But it wouldn't be the same at all and if i had to choose i would like us to stay where we are now or stay in Swindon at least.

If we moved away, Id still go and support. I couldnt give up on the club just like that, however it wouldnt feel the same, yet I still feel we are being forced to moved. My first choice however would be to Keep The Town In Swindon, thats what I'll fight for....we'd all perfer it and you all know it

I would still support even if its just outside Swindon, but I will miss going to the County Ground.
If it's a bigger ground that will help the club then I'm all for it.

I dont understand throwing the toys out of the pram.
All thats happened is that the original plans have been rejected and so they should be. Why should a company of greedy directors make 25 million for free? Why should the council give them the land.
At the end of the day theres no knowledge of where that money would even go, although we know it would go into the pockets of our dirty directors.

I would go and watch so long as I could get to games, no matter where they were.
But it would definitely lose some of its appeal
