.....when they've got a cold or something? Apparentely Matt Bulman's got it, even though he was in the Spot on Sunday evening. Rory had it on Saturday but managed to play on Saturday.
If you've got the flu you can't fucking move, one minute you're boiling next you're freezing, every joint in your body aches, and you get headaches.
There's no way you can get out of bed, let a lone play football or go up the pub.
Fucking pisses me off when people say I've got the flu. Then come to work the next day. You've got a fucking cold you poof!!

Very true, I've never had flu, but some people whinge about a bit of a cold/cough/headache. I'll just about concede that you can have 'flu like symptoms' ie a cold, but from what i gather flu just kills you for at least a week.

I had it one New Years Eve, if it was humanly possible I wouldn't have spent that night in bed (alone) watching some fucking shit australian comic on TV, whilst the rest of the world celebrated. Instead I would have dragged myself out of bed and into the pub.

In Rory's defence, he looked very ill on Saturday.
He was about 5 yards off the pace and knackered after an hour. He certainly didnt look 100%

Just one thing.
If you have a small squad and the majority of the 1st team (so more than 6 players) are suffering from illness such as flu, your match can be postponed....

If you have a small squad
which we regrettably don't, about 25+ registered players we'd need bird flu and bubonic plague rolled into one before we had a game called off.

Why the blinking flip don't football clubs make all their players have flu jabs once a year? Flu jabs = no flu epidemic. Stunningly simple would you not agree?

Flu Jabs = less chance of flu epidemic. Not 100% effective by any means. Where is that pedantic wanker smiley when you need it. But did they even try?
