Which should I be then eh. Can't go without both for more than a night it seems.
Alcohol
Pros - *Get to talk to other people rather than the voices in your head *24hr drinking *Women appear more attractive than they really are *Pubs are good
Cons - *Start looking like fatty arbuckle *Get to talk complete shit to people rather than to the voices in your head who sometimes make some good points *Women appear more attractive than they really are *Feel like shit, look like shit, throw up when I'm brushing my teeth *Fucking expensive *Makes you dumber *Dogbreath
Herb
Pros - *Cures most diseases *Loss of spare tire *Helps you consider things more rationally *Very cheap *You take in alot more around you *Can make women randy
Cons - *Brain like swiss cheese *Dogbreath *Doesn't really cure most diseases *Possible impotency, although with the money I've saved I could always buy a rod *Arguments about who's going to the shop/making the tea
I think thats's it summed up really. You decide*
*then I do what I'm going to anyway

I'd stick to both. You get the joys of the fuzzy feeling in your head and if you run out of alcohol you've always got the weed (or vice-versa).

In an ideal world you wouldn't have to cut one out. I think you should cycle it so that you have a week of one then a week of the other. That's not gonna work either I'd stick with the booze for the following reasons: *It's more sociably acceptable (crap reason I know) *Dealers don't do 2 for 1 offers *Dealers are sometimes unreliable when picking up. With 24 hour licensing you needn't inconvenience yourself *Your liver doesn't cough crap up all the time

I'm sticking with weed(cheap, readily available, and keeps my mind sharper in a lot of respects). I've just been drinking once a week for a while now and I feel good, except when I'm abroad because I don't get high then.
It was either this or a thread about my favourite van :smile1:

I recommend the extreme detox. What this involves is drinking as much and smoking as much as possible. This helps somehow, I don't know how it works but apparently it's very effective. I saw it on tv.

My boss once employed a guy as his accountant who tried to give up drinking by smoking more crack

He's got the right idea, that sounds like a plan. Did it work?
Apparently 99% of people who try to give up their vices without replacing them with other ones fail but if you just replace them with something worse, 9 times out of 10 you'll give up no problem. It backfires sometimes sure but it's got to be a risk worth taking.

Like the Victorians giving herion to people for opium addiction.
I've no idea if the guy is still alive. I'll buy him a scotch on the rocks if I see him.

You fucking legend Amir my life is based around the painful issues discussed in your original post. I'd also like to add that alcohol makes me rubbish at Football manager whereas weed makes me better. This is a very important factor in my view.

I was faced with this difficult choice about a year and a half ago.I chose to be an alcoholic as the offy was closest and pubs don't play Mettalica very loudly like the bloke I used to score off did....and landlords aren't usually into guns.

I gave up the herb without really thinking about it, was easy really, plus I got fed up of the hazy head in the morning and the caned drives home along lanes which started to get more and more difficult.
Beer is friend, easier to source, socially acceptable (if taken properly) and you can have a pint in your lunch hour where as a skunker at lunchtime pretty much puts paid to the rest of your working day!
