I hate city more for the obvious reasons, living closer to bristol than to swindon is quite depressing. I don't feel as though I have much hate inside me for oxford as I have never experienced an oxford/swindon game and Don't really know what their fans are like but my dad has told me about that mostly as he always does  Cheesy  I like bristol rovers and have always said that if swindon were no more I would possible concider going to watch them and wind my cousins up.

I know you've been watching the town for many a year and to settle an arguement I'm having with my dad, who would you consider our main rivals: Oxford or Bristol City??

It is defo Oxford, I remember many a nasty encounter at the Manor Ground.  I even hate going shopping in Oxford as it feels like a betrayal!!!  Bristol City doesn't invoke the same feelings but they're second on the list.  I can't remember playing them much years ago so maybe that is why Oxford were hated more.
I also remember that game at Elm Park against Reading, bricks flying and everything outside the ground - those were the days!!!!

I would have said Bristol City - mainly because in the last 15 years we've been in the same league as City far more seasons than the same league as Oxford!
I've almost forgotten who Oxford are....

I've never been to Oxford and Don't ever tend to. I hate the place with a passion. City have nothing over them. Even saying the word makes me cringe.

My Dad traditionally thinks of City as the rivals, although as has been said the younger generation see it as Oxford, but they only joined the league in '65.  I see Oxford as the bigger game personally because it's mutual dislike, City will never hate us more than Rovers.

i remember hearing that 5 years ago when we got relegated from division 1. "Think of all the good derbies we'll have, and the gates for them will also be a bonus". Well as know that didn't happen, and we were even more shit, which I fear will be the case again next season if we get relegated.

I'd inherited a healthy dislike of Bristhole, before O*ford were even in the League....and as such have loathed them with a passion ever since.

I recall the first visit to  The Manor.....when it was very much like visiting a non league ground in the cup.....bit of a laugh...their fans a bit simple.

But for younger fans it has to be O*frod......so for most, our main rivals are O*ford.

Brilliant!
I hope the younger fans appreciate the artistry in those images.

I feel Chippenham is starting to be a bit more hated.
I bloody hate them  :x
My most hated:
1. Bristol City
2. Chippenscum
3. Poxford
4. Reading
5. Cardiff

I never hate Rovers, used to watch them when I was a kid.

I'm from Chippenham, Pewsham to be exact, so I can't agree with that Blink!  There's too many Swindon fans in Chippenham for it to become hated, plus they're too far away in terms of quality!
