Blimey O'Reilly, 5 pages! I don't really like the new Focus but the ST is growing on me daily! You were right about the Type R blowing away its competitors previously Ralphy, my current ST only has 170 BHP and is 0-60 in just under 8 seconds. Your type R would murder it!
Think the new ST may take some beating, even with the bold colour range!

Think the new ST may take some beating, even with the bold colour range! Type R is well matched in performance to the Focus RS. Focus RS has 15 more horsepower but is heavier. Both do 0-60 in 6.4 secs Both do 0-60 in 16 secs New Focus ST is heavier than both but has 217 bhp so should be even with the two of them.

Yep it has... for now  I was just reading on a Focus Forum I sometimes read about a guy that has both a Focus RS and a Civic Type R (lucky chap) and he states that the RS pisses all over the Type R. Obviously he is biast but what do you make of that?

Obviously he is biast but what do you make of that? Well it's a matter of opinion. The RS was £4k more for a start, is 4 wheel drive and turbocharged. The Type R is front wheel drive and normally aspirated. Both offer a different sort of drive but performance wise there is nothing in it. Both lap various circuits in the same time and both do straight line drag races the same. In the winter, the Focus RS would be the favoured choice cos of 4 wheel drive BUT that differential is very annoying i'm told and cuts in too much. Tiff Needell prefers the Type R and thats good enough for me.
