The current Type R what i have has just gone out of production and was £16,700

The new one won't be on sale until late 2006/early 2007

Like i said, just a media photoshopped picture.

The new standard Civic looks lovelly so the Type R will be gorgeous.

Seen that article before Compo, most of it is media hype and speculation.

I doubt they'll put a 2.4 litre lump in it, more likely to be another very highly tuned 2 litre with around 220 bhp like the DC5 Integra Type R.
