I don't understand last night. None of the pubs in town stay open anylonger. Only Angelo's and Gangsters have the 24 hour license, so why do they need more coppers on the streets? They were being right cunts last night. :evil:

Normally refers to s5 Public Order Act 1986 which is one of the lower levels of public order offences. OTTOMH something along the lines of "action likely to cause a reasonable person harrassment, alarm or distress" ie being a bit lairy but without actually chinning anyone or breaking anything. quite how they think that gives them the right to search you tho is a mystery unless:
1) You misheard
2) I've got completely the wrong s5
3) They were just randomly exceeding their powers because they can.

The majority of Police are fine and do a good job 99% of the time. However when there' footie fans about, or drunken people around, or both they seem to lose all sense of fairness.
Although you all know how annoying your mates can be when you turn up sober and they're already pissed up, so imagine how they feel on a Saturday night.
