..Parkin left Portman Road on crutches and boss Joe Royle is not expecting positive news when the former Swindon man undergoes scans: "We will have more of an idea on Wednesday but it doesn't look good.

"The physio team tell me it's a ligament injury and that could mean weeks on the sidelines.  Sad

He must be asking himself why he didn't choose Watford.

Good point I'd forgotten about that.....it was Boothrotd who tried to sign him wasn't it rather than Lewington?

I think given that chose most would have opted for Ipswich as the bigger club with better prospects.

SSP should come and watch his old mates play....

Dean Ashton and Sam Parkin could have been a good partnership... Maybe.

I feel sorry for SSP, everyone wanted the Ipswich deal to work out.

I thought Ipswich would have been a better option for him in the summer, you never know how things will turn out. Feel for the bloke, it's just not gone for him this season and now this.

Thing is he signed a 4 year contract, probably on 3 or 4 times the money we paid him....so unlikely to leave...suppose a loan might be possible.
