I reckon Heaton is a top goalkeeper, but if Evans was back from injury, i would pick him over Heaton. Purely because Evans is goin to be here longer and i think Evans is slightly better IMO.
Heaton is still a quality keeper by all means.

But i can see Evans missin another 3 months, so lets hope Heaton stays until the end of the season at least.

I personally think we should try and sign a keeper in january as i feel Heaton may go back to United. Also it would be good back up, rather than havin Bulman as back up.
That Oldham keeper who came on for Chris Day against Chase Town on sunday would have been a good addition to the squad as he is young, so therefore wouldnt ask for much wages. I think hes only on a non-contract basis at Oldham anyway....

Chris day was once one of the most highly rated keepers about, and a very high profile victim of bosman/itv digital fallout, whereby short contracts are given out and even quality players struggle to find clubs.  He was unemployed for a while and I think only went to Oldham when the departure of Pogliacomi was imminent, a good keeper former under21 I think.

Pogliacomi's always impressed me when I've seen him play, solid keeper.

I don't know about the guy as a person but as a footballer he seems a bit up himself... rarely took the blame for his mistakes etc. but he's a valuable asset to this club. Hope he's back soon.

considering the progress heaton has made whilst he's been here, i can see manyoo agreeing to let us keep him until the end of the season.

i hope so because he's a bloody good keeper.

Yeah Heaton all day long.  Heaton has only made a couple of mistakes since he signed for Town on loan.  However the amount of times hes got us out of jail (Boston last minute) (Pawel Abbott save on the line), he single handidly has won us points.  He's done well considering recent team performances.

Hopefully ManUtd will let him go on a freebie so that Town can sign him.  However i cant see it myself.  Crying

I agree, Evans is a good keeper, however Heaton is better
