Went to watch Villa Vs Liverpool today instead of the FA cup match against boston.  Not because I didnt want to go watch swindon but because I made a school boy error a month ago thought we had a week off and grabbed tickets when I could.

Anyway Got to villa park around 12 as it was a 12.45 kick off.  First off the car parking was £6.00, not a tightwad but fuck me thats  a joke to chuck my car somewhere for 3 hours.

Got into the ground early not even having a pint as needed loo, found my seats and ended up at the top end of trinity stand!  Unbelieveable ground and seats were really good.  Sat there and it was deserted apart from 20 japs in front of me, always thought them using cameras was a myth but really have leant something today. They pissed me right off

Anyway I wont bore this forum with a match report mainly cos my mind is shot and cant really remember!!!

The football was ok but the crowds at premiership is shit.  No songs, no atmousphere and basically shit!!!  Coming back I listened to BBC wiltshire sound and heard spencer and the lads singing, the commentator (who was shit) said we have the singers in front of us, made me proud but also gutted I missed it.

Today proved something to me - we may be bottom of the league and shite but bloody hell I wouldnt swap what I experience each week (whole package) to watch plastic football each week

PS - I now am startinga  petition to get all japs thrown out of this country, they didnt even know who was liverpool who was villa but worst of all was I was ha ha ha!!!

villa park's an impressive ground (very good chips!), i've sat in the holte end a few times and whenever villa attacked it everyone stood up, and you hear all the seats BANGING into an upright position, it sent shivers down my spine! but the atmosphere was mostly pretty poor, holte end upper was where all the singers were but they sung more before the game, than during.

Well done Ash thats what I like to hear Cheesy Thats exactly what I thought when I went to see chelsea. Its boring and its quiet.Swindon anyday.
(Japs make me laugh although they can be annoying, when ever I go shopping in bath there are thousands of them there with their bloody brick cameras round their necks. What makes me laugh is that they take pictures of anything. The pasty shops, the pidgeons even BHS :? )

I was once in a little village in Yorkshire and there was a Japanese tourist coach (?!) and they were all taking pictures of...erm...nothing really. brick walls and the like.

odd

can't stand the whole silence followed by a cheer for a goal then silence at premiership grounds. That's why i like to see the likes of Norwich and Palace getting in there. Real teams!!!
