I just bought a Sony CDX-R3350 for the car as my iPod is dead and I can't find another one anywhere, got it home and I can't understand how the fuck to install it  Cheesy

I've got a Renault Clio. A quick google search didn't help much.

because your car is odd/garlic-ridden/french, it will most probably be a bastard to fit. sorry to be the bringer of bad news! Soapy Tit Wank

Right mate, do the connectors out of the back of the unit match the ones in your car?  If not you will need to get yourself to Halfords or the Motorist Centre to get yourself the correct bits.

I might have the stuff you need lying around, if I find it I'll bring it tomorrow and try to get it to you.

they don't match, no. on the back of my new headunit there is three large plugs, one fits into the back of the stereo and the other two presumably should plug in to a socket inside the slot in my car.

however, the one inside my car looks more like a scart socket than anything and it certainly doesn't fit.

i can get pics if you want?

Sonic, can you make the next pic is a bit bigger?

It's a bit small on my 42" plasma  :|

I'm so hooked on this thread, please don't let it end on an Eastendesque cliffhanger though. I need to know whether it got fitted...  Cheesy

Will the unit not just slide in without the wires and connect to the cage?
