stone roses- best of
stranglers- best of
the doors- the doors

best of albums annoy me somewhat, the beauty of a normal album is that it has songs that some people skip and others love, and a shit song on an album only makes the good songs better.

for this reason- 5 best ofs is nigh on impossible for me.

I agree dex, but some best ofs, like the roses one, have tracks that weren't on normal studio albums, and often offer a good range of remixes etc, they always seem to leave off one or two songs that I would consider to be essential to them, singles collections are worse though.

Complete Stone Roses, Stone Roses
Anthology, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles
A Slight Case of Overbombing, Sisters of Mercy
One Love, The Very Best of Bob Marley & the Wailers
Best of New Order, New Order

I'm not a big one for 'Best ofs'  either to be honest.  The exception being when I hear a couple of tracks that take my fancy and I haven't got any of the previous material.  Or if I have all their previous stuff and want a piece for completion.
