Which college?  Reading what?

Tell me and I will give you my 25 years old perspective - actually nearly 30 years ago 1976-1981.  I was young, had prospects and hair.  What went wrong?

Sorry about the OTT stuff the other am - I have tried to pm to that effect, but the technology confounded me - even when sober Beers

hey - see what I just did?  am and pm Cool

I can't work them properly either...

Merton College, studying English Literature, I wanted to opt for Geography but was basically bullied into EL by my teacher, on the basis that I didn't drop a mark in my coursework or my exam... which is fair enough, but I'm still a bit worried as my hearts not really in it, I'm good at it rather than in to it, if you see what I mean.

As for the other am, thanks, accepted and returned. Let sleeping dogs lie and all that.
i'd make sure you like it dave, your going to be studying it for 3 years (?) and doing ALOT of subject reading.

Definitely. Merton College is not really the place for people who don't love their subject and prefer to wing it...

In the words of Ian Dury....

   Noel Coward was a charmer.
As a writer he was brahma.
Velvet, jackets and pyjamas,
had a gay divorce and other dramas.

There ain't half been some clever bastards
(Lucky bleeders, lucky bleeders)
There ain't half been some clever bas-tards.

Van Gough did some eyeball pleasers.
He must have been a pencil squeezer.
He didn't do the Mona Lisa,
That was an Italian geezer.

There ain't half been some clever bastards
(Lucky bleeders, lucky bleeders)
There ain't half been some clever bas-tards.

Einstein can't be classed as witless.
He claimed atoms were the littlest.
When you did a bit of splitting-em-ness
Frighten everybody shitless

There ain't half been some clever bastards.
Probably got help from their mum
(who had help from her mum).
There ain't half been some clever bastards.
Now that we've had some,
let's hope that there's lots more to come.

There ain't half been some clever bastards
(Lucky bleeders, lucky bleeders)
There ain't half been some clever bas-tards.

Okey-dokey!
Oh!
Segovia.
Da-laa la-laa da-daa da-lee
De dump di dump de dump-dump-diddle li-lee.

There ain't half been some clever bastards
(Lucky bleeders, lucky bleeders)
There ain't half been some clever bastards

There ain't half been some clever bastards

I'm at University of Plymouth

2nd year doing a BA(Hons) American Studies.

I'm in Boston as I write... I'm going to see the Celtics tonight, the Bruins tomorrow and New England Revolution on Sunday... Might do some work too.

I also spent 2 years at the University of Bath.
