Looking through teletext this evening, and there was a bit on Martin Allen doing a sponsered bike ride to raise money for the club (Brentford).
Dedication. Think it was mentioned on here before that he is one of the fans- fair play to him. I see Dick mackey ran the half marathon on sunday. Wonder if he got sponsers for the club? I think its a great idea.
What could we sponser Iffy to do. I suggest sponser Cracker eating...

It was Brentford fans who said if they stayed up a season or so back....then they'd walk to Hartlepool....they did... so they did and got sponsored and did collections on the way.
I'm sounding like I'm talking myself into this now, but a similar challenge issued through the media could generate some interest in our plight.

If we stay up you can walk to Doncaster The Brentford boys though kind of marched up the A1....I'd want to work an interesting route, involving the odd LDP...disused railway canal etc. Got to be Hartlepool....we could discuss the relative merits of Milan Kundera or Milan Baros.

In other news the organisers of the 200 mile whale walk have fallen at the first hurdle after they realised that whales cannot walk.

In other news the organisers of the 200 mile whale walk have fallen at the first hurdle after they realised that whales cannot walk. A walk to Wales ....would be good though, for the Swansea game. Old railway to Cricklade...bit of Thames path to Kemble follow the Severn a nd Thames canal to Stroud...arrange a boat to cross teh Severn to get to Cinderford...through Forest of Dean to Monmouth then pick up Offa's Dyke path to Black Mountains cross to Brecons and then down into Swansea. Failing the boat, swimming the Severn that far up might be feasible, otherwise a bum stretch up to Gloster.
