I need to start playing tournaments i think. I usually just play with my money at tables for the hell of it. Village, the tournaments you play seem like the best bet, limits how much i can potentially lose.
How long do they usually last? And where do i find them on Pokerroom??
On the top right of the screen, there is the option of "Ring Games" ( :shock: ) or "Tournaments". Click on Tourneys. Then, you should be automaticaly taken onto the Scheduled and Regular part of Tourneys. If not click 'em.
For example, if you can go on there now, you'll see a $1 to enter game starting in about 1hr and a freeroll about to open. I suggest sticking to these. They do tend to take on the maximum amount of players though (2400), so if you plan to win any money on either of them, you're probably looking at 3hrs+ of play. I won my money last night on a $1 entry TURBO table, which raises blinds every 3 mins. It's a bit mental, but i was out in 13th with $11 after about 1hr and 10. These might be worth an effort if you can't be arsed to play for too long. Freerolls and Lucky Dollar tourneys tend to be open for play every 4 hours or so.
Oh yeah, they fill up very quickly, especially in the evenings, because of the damn Yanks! :x So if you have you're eye on a tourney, sign up as soon as it opens. Took a freeroll i had my eye on last night, 10 minutes to fill its 2400 vacancies :shock:
