I don't know much about it but being a Ken Loach film I guess it's safe to assume it will be a 'hard-hitting drama'. I'm led to believe the accents are bordering on indecipherable as well...

Young Adam is quite a good film as well, slightly disturbing but very moody and atmospheric.

I've been to a couple of lectures given by KL in Swindon..these were at the Town Hall .

  Think history will show him to be a great film director.    If commercially a failure.

I don't remember it being that hard to understand, but then I've been up there a fair few times so you get to know a bit of slang and get used to the accent.

Not something I could claim to have read recently, but I did revisit some of the oeuvre of Flann O'Brien (Myles Na Gopaleen) a few weeks ago.

  IMO his An Béal Bocht is the finest book translated into the English language.

I have not read a whole book since primary school :shock: read magazines though but mostly look at the pictures(and I can read).
