on our VIP day on saturday we had the chance to vote for man of the match, mr jenkins won it and was brought in front of us and we had a q and a session with him. basically the bloke is a fuckin superstar and answered all questions intelligently and honestly.
i got the impression he thinks iffy is too inexperienced for the current job, but he does respect him and he was very positive about avoiding relegation.
got to meet him and told him i was his sponsor, he reckons hes going to come down to brighton for a weekend , but without the wife!

Cheesy   Legend.

I'm a big fan of Jenks, he's not very good technically, but he's got balls and will run his arse off.  That and he has great hair, even though it takes no effort whatsoever.  He's the trampiest looking footballer ever, I love it!!

Mex I have two pics of us with him, pm me your email address and will send over in the morning....then you can put them on here

Was a great day out I was wrecked and yes I am a lightweight!

Jenks also said we need more experience something I agree with, he was so honest it was actually refreshing!

Defo Captain maintained this fro some time, he's well disciplined, seems the model pro, and looks like he owns a caravan and a ford sierra!

He's been a good player for us, I have to agree he would be my choice for captain too.

I reckon Gareth Hall or Gareth Davies might have had it for a game or two?

That's probably a good shout matty.

I expect Hall probably wore the armband at some point, not so sure about Davies, given his injury record he'd be less likely.

Jenks is a top guy. Decent player, intelligent and honest.

he is the kind of player the younger lads need to watch and take notes from. As good an example as Sam Parkin.

Proper old school hard nut professional.

Not enough 'Jenks' in the game, too many hyped up young wasters who dont care

Strangely I was thinking of Gareth Davies in relation tho Migs current injury nighmares. Davies is the only player i have seen do a hamstring whilst heading the ball back to the 'keeer. Physically putting on the camptains arm band would have seen him in intensive care for months.

Jenkins - "unsung hero"*

* this is not a statement that STFC have a any heros.
