Me and a few mates want to go skiing next year! Anyone know of any good places? 7 days of booze and bombing it down the slopes!

Well it looks like I shall probably be staying in Val Thorens for the season, so if I am there and you decide to go there too I could show you around.

600km of piste, great off-piste and great night-life too apparently.

It's generally a resort full of Scandinavians and British, rather than French and Germans so will be easier to communicate.

If you just want to guarantee a good deal then go to Tignes and stay at the UCPA, best week of my life there.

I went to Val Torens for my birthday and New Years a few years ago and it was skill. Cheesy

Great snow and the night life is superb. Beers

Isn't it the highest resort in Europe?

In which case Pas de la Casa or Soldeu.  The stats are exactly the same in terms of piste/off piste, length of runs, nightlife etc.

It takes 15 minutes fewer to transfer to Casa though - that's the only difference I can find appart from hire being a few quid cheaper in Casa.

If I had to choose for myself I'd go to Casa, I've always wanted to go there.

'Tis a pleasure - I have loads of brochures handy.

If you are interested there is a ski & snowboard show on at the NEC - last weekend of October.
