Linfield have released midfielders Stephen Shaw and Paul McAreavey. Both players have been affected by injury this season and Shaw was ruled out for all of last year because of a knee problem.
Twenty-three-year-old Shaw came up through the ranks at Windsor Park while McAreavey previously played for Portadown and Swindon Town.

I actually thought McAreavey was a fair chance to make it here, but it wasn't to be. Still I thought he was better than being released from Linfield.
