I know this is early but I'm thinking of taking the train to Brentford (I live in Crawley so it's only 90 mins) with some mates (non-Swindon fans) and getting pissed beforehand as there is a mate's 18th in the evening.  Anyone know of any pubs which we can drink safely in - is it advisable not to wear the Swindon red?  Preferably needs to be near the ground.

Cheers, just I have never been to Brentford before, nor have I ever drank at a football match before as I've always had to drive!

There are pubs at each four corners of the ground, go to the new inn or the princess.

Oh, to have the old away end back Crying

Loads of pubs around Brentford.

Swindon always have loads out in pubs before games up there.

Be fine wearing red in Brentford. Probably get turned away for your mates birthday party instead for being a scruffy bugger.

The 2 pubs at the new home end are now only home fans I think

The one just over the railway bridge is open to all isn't it?  Sky sports in there, had a lovely bar maid last time we went.
