I think King will probably be sacked now anyway. Real shame. Fair play for what he's done and good luck to whoever takes over. They have a hell of a task on their hands, I hope they're up to it.

I'm going back to Cardiff in a bit anyway and moving house so won't be reading the forum for a while. Lets hope the attendances now rise to 8,000 a week as predicted.

Quite enjoyed the game, some good football by both sides and we were up for it.
Their first was a fluke, not played for. Their second was our basic error, leaving the winger completely unmarked to cross from a quick free kick. The third was an unexpected slide-rule backpass from Roberts to their forwards, then a good finish. Two mistakes and a fluke, they only had one other good chance.
Fallon was immense all game. Whalley was slow and ineffective, let us down.Nicho played well. O'Hanlon was good considering his recent injury. Pook started OK but made lots of mistakes second half. Thorpe looked promising but just lacked that final touch. Ifil wasted possession most times. Smith was OK, but where was he for their second, or was it someone elses man, I don't understand today's system.
I clapped them off, a shame we lost, but perhaps one week we might fail to make a crucial mistake. Got to keep optimistic.   Wink

Well thats alright then. I feel much happier now. Thanks for pointing that out. Without two stupid mistakes we would have won the game. What a team.

Well I will be back soon, just not for a few days, just depends how long it takes my housemate to setup the broadband and I'll have stuff to do.

What did we play today?4-4-2?If so it must have been Pook and Smith as the wide players-WHY?

We started with 3-5-2 with Smith and Nicholas as Wing backs.

Smith and Nicholas kept coming into the middle which was a weakness in this formation and often left gaps for their wingers to exploit.

All these years and I'm still yet to work out what exactly 3-5-2 is supposed to give us.

You were calling for us to play it at one point last year.
