I am a big fan of the hammers as well. It was refreshing when Alan Pardew said after the win at Fulham 'We have Arsenal next and we are going to give them a right good go'. Refreshing to hear. (I have just realised I have used the word refreshing twice in one post! Oops )

Just another man united win....great. Give me Swindon coming back against Sheffield Wednesday every single time.

Found the match report. http://football.guardian.co.uk/Match_Report/0,1527,628747,00.html

Doesn't sound anything special, if I'd watched I'd have been gutted for villa. This was a game. http://www.noticias.info/Archivo/2005/200503/20050309/20050309_51239.shtm

Thing is I can't stand Manchester United so I'd always find a dull game that they lose a lot more entertaining than any game that they win.

Shit match report. What does the Guardian know about football anyway? Theyve probably had about 2 Swindon reports in the last 5 years.

got to agree with spencer on this, the prem was so much better back in the days of cantona & asprilla etc. its still good to watch at times, but the bigger teams are getting more boring & defensive. surprised nobodys mentioned liverpool yet, proper 1-0 specialists in the last few years.

the french league is the best to watch at the moment IMO, not necessarily for the players, but because its more exciting & every team is capable of beating eachother. fair enough lyon have won the title 3 years in a row, but theres always a good battle for 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.

I can' t believe anyone could slate the mid 90's Utd and late 90's early 2000's Arsenal.  Those two sides played some of the best club football I've ever seen.

Yes

Makes no difference how much I loath Utd. they were very good to watch in their hey day - I've already had my say on Arsenal, class.

Finally now people are starting to take notice. Its been like this for years and it makes me happy to be a Town fan.

I prefer to South-American football the passion is intense and the football is alot better than people think.

Fuck me, I need more than the premiership being dull to make me happy to be a town fan right now. 3 points on saturday would be a good start.

It is indeed scant consolation.Although as a lower league fan it does make me laugh.
The premiership has been boring me to tears for years now,i mean we criticize the SPL for being a 2 horse race, but the same could be said about the premiership. The monopoly on the championship means that there are clubs that aren't going to do anything, and the best they can hope for is not to go down or to finish in the top half. Some of the clubs are ruled by the fear of going down so they do what they have to do to stay up,if that means kicking the shit out of teams or sitting back and not playing good football, then so be it because they need the MONEY.
