Well I can certainly see how he’s our captain in the way he speaks and how he articulates himself in a positive way. He’s done the hard yards coming through from non-league

They switch because Clarke doesn’t play or start every game and in the games he does play he doesn’t play the whole 90 so every time Wright gets given the armband. Whereas Wright plays 99% of games and for the whole time typically. At this point they must be splitting it 50/50. Obviously Wright did captain Crawley in their promotion season on top of that. Maybe officially Clarke is captain but Wright gets the armband a lot of the time as well
