Well, our coaches are the same as under Kennedy.
The whole club needs a real clear out

Taking Oldaker off of set pieces would be a good start

It would be a good start, I think Munro was slightly better at corners but I don’t think it was a massive upgrade, believe there was a few wayward ones from him as well

Is this the earliest appearance ever of the "season over" comments? Come on ,it's L2 the eventual champions, whoever they are, are going to have shit games like that.

If there’s one thing that is easy to get right by repeated practice, it’s corners.

I'm still angry about last night. Did we win any loose balls? Players seemed to just stand and stare at the ball for most of the game, Barnet were terrible and couldn't believe their luck.

Do we practice corners/crosses? The amount that just drifted aimlessly over everyone and out of play was unreal.

Since the first league game it has seemed to my view that any 50-50 ball seems immediately to become a 60-40 ball in favour of the opposition and we are then left trying to regain the momentum. Couple this with not having anyone with any real bite in the tackle, especially in midfield then we are often left chasing around trying to get back into the game.

Regarding corners, we never vary them, never have anyone deepish to pick up the over hit ball and as to actually scoring from them is in the low percentage.

Do you honestly think this is a top 7 team, especially considering it looks like the player the team is built around is likely to be out for a long time? We’ve played well for about 45 minute of the first 4 games of the season even with Smith.

It’s going to need a miraculous end to the window to balance out this squad.

I think that we are so reliant on Smith that if he's really done his ACL I can see why people might think that.

I personally think we need to see how we adjust.

If you sent them out to watch a Sunday league team they'd see better quality corners than last night

In this league it has every chance. It still surprises me how good people think you have to be. Not going to let one shit show write the season off

I think there are signs we could be a decent side this season but there is definitely something troubling.

There seems to be a huge disparity between what Holloway tells us about how he wants us to play and how we actually are playing, is he lying to us or is he really bad at getting his players to execute his vision?  Given that we have reverted to just going long after the 20 minute mark in most games it must be by design so I have to think we're being lied to.

He's talked about disguised long ball before but now we're fully in the realms of all out launch ball.  There is no sign of trying to get the midfiled into the game at all, it's Flitcroft but worse.

We're not going long to chest or feet to try to hold it up and bring the team forward, we're gambling on flick-ons and last night we were never going to get anything from Kanu in that regard, he outmuscled and outrun the entire team single-handedly.

To keep doing it over and over and over again was criminal, they had our number from minute 20 and no matter how many on here are saying they were crap they were far and away a better outfit on the night than we were and they completely schooled us.

Apart from 15 mins at Oldham we've been pony so far this season. No tactics, no structure and the players look just as confused as the rest of us. Everything seems a bit off. Half cooked pre-season and a squad of technical players seemingly playing hoof ball on a beautiful pitch that we don't seem to use. Saturday will be interesting....

Havent read back.

That was as Dog Shit as it comes.

Ref was shite....a luxury that Barnet didnt need to beat us!

Everything was shite and Smith gets injured to boot.

Corners shite
passing shite
physical battles lost
movement off the ball poor
midfield by passed (even with Smith off the pitch)

Saturday is a big game now.

To be fair to them, amongst all the disorganisation and random football, they’ve managed to carve out 2 wins and looked decent in the first 20 against Oldham.

Outside of that, even taking results aside, there’s little in the performances that suggest a coherent plan past lump it up to the big guy and hope for the best.

Think for me, it’s approaching the point where even if we don’t take 3 points against Shrewsbury, if we at least look to have a reasonable setup approach to scoring goals that isn’t an aimless lump forward then there will be some shoots to grow from. Imagine that if Smith is out then it pushes us towards that anyway but the unwanted scenario would be just continue this same but lumping it up to Drinan instead.

I would just like to say hello to the club employee that will no doubt show the manager these comments.
