Right then. Who is going?

Travelling up Friday afternoon with the DNA (dontcha just love that phrase) and staying with my nephew and obvs his cousin at his flat on Salford Quays. On the lash Friday night, big breakfast on Saturday am with an Uber for us three and two of his mates five to Boundry Park.

First visit to Oldham. Infact I stayed in the Copthorne at Salford Quays just after it opened and the Arsenal team were there prepping for their game with Citeh the following day under George Graham.

Sage advice. My first sales job was with a wholesale company in Ancoats in 1988. I believe they place was sold to make way for the velodrome when the commonwealth games were on.

Coldest ground I've ever been to. Why is it so cold? Must be high up or something

Second highest ground and referred to as ice station zebra.
Can be a biting chilling wind.

Went to Oldham once with Whits, Sonicyouth & DMR.

Town went 2-0 up & Whits got a text to say Jeff Stelling had said something on soccer Saturday along the lines of Oldham were like the only team in League 1 who hadn’t rescued at least a point from being two goals behind…

….you can see where this is going.

Went to watch us at Ice Station Zebra in December 2012 under Di Canio. De Vita scored twice and we won. Been a few other times but never been to Oldham town centre. Smash n’gtqb, get the hello outta town.

I remember the unforgettable debut of Hamid Razak at Boundary Park. Our line up that day included Paynter/Cox up front and a back 4 including Ifil,Greer and Jamie Vincent
