Under transfer umbungo, not paying players and late payments to HMRC, i.e., skint.  Looks like they are going to the wall with no new ownership on the horizon, apparently.  If Shef. Wed. can go, perhaps any EFL or NL team can also go, so it's all a bit concerning especially with Morecambe hanging by a thread.

I saw it reported that the club aren’t paying for the players food, transport or overnight accommodation for the first game.

So the players are car sharing & booking their own hotels

Really is worrying given who we have in charge and the hangers on that surround them.

They're down to around 14 players too - Bannan and some other lad are listed on their website but Bannan is expected to sign for someone else soon, and another guy has also cancelled his contract. Players can cancel their contracts for free when 2 months of wages in a row are paid late, and they did that in May and June. As they're not being paid, the players also refused to play a preseason friendly against Burnley.

Barry Bannan has signed a new contract with Wednesday today, all credit to him for sticking around with all that is going on there.
