Been approved at planning meeting

Meanwhile Clem has delivered fuck all and nothing changes until he fucks off for good.
Fair play to them for getting it over the line.

Ha, when we are in the championship within 5 years you're going to feel pretty silly 😁.

Seriously though, he hasn't got the means to do everything but run us down.  I'm not sure I could take Oxford pulling this off to rub our noses in it.

How are they financially? I have little interest in them so really don't understand how a small club like them have done so well for themselves for the past 25 years whilst we've been left to rot.

They are owned by an Indonesian billionaire who previously owned Inter Milan and DC United

We've been through a lot of shit to get to the planning approval today. This will mean finally unshackling ourselves from Firoz Kassam, the cunt, and his shitty stadium that we've paid increasingly large annual rental fees for the priviledge of playing in.

Having experienced 25 years of his ownership and landlordship, I have a lot of sympathy for any club being badly run.

Good luck to them it is good to see and any negative comments from morons is purely jealousy, there are to many crooks having an easy ride i in this world on the back of football.

I have no feeling other than bitterness and extreme jealousy

They are going to build a new, sensibly sized modern stadium.

Ours is falling apart in front of our eyes.

It's another massive wake up call.

Always look forward to reading the well reasoned posts from Mystical Goat. As a young lad I used to visit the Manor back in the days when they were captained by a certain Ron Atkinson. These visits were only when the Town were playing up north I might add ! In later years I would stand at the back of the London Road end when Town visited wondering if we had a death wish and after that standing on the delightfully names Cuckoo Lane end in a beautifully constructed metal cage !
Never jealous and certainly never envious I always thought we were better than OUFC. Now as I sit in the Town End that is falling down around me whilst trying to decide whether it’s my crap hearing or just another pathetic attempt to fix the PA system I wonder where it all went wrong. Good luck to our friends up the road, perhaps not “ in our shadow” to quote a fellow Teffer. After reading MG’s post I read the BBC article about Wrexham’s development and what they have just spent on their pitch !
Oh well, you never know perhaps one day we will get the lake drained at the back of the Town End, that at least will be some progress.  Suicide

...in a city in which it's notoriously difficult to build anything.  They've had to go a long way out of town - again - but that was always going to be case in Oxford.  (They were never going to get it built on Christ Church Meadow.)

Fair play to them.  With astute owners, they're leaving us behind...on & off the field.  The 'forever in our shadow' talk has stopped.  Unshackle ourselves from the current owner and the shifty cabal of 'hangers on', and we might have a shout at competing again.  But not until then.

Any action that reduces the control and power from dodgey owners of any lower league football club should be celebrated, no matter what team it is..

Yup.

Just depressing another local club have a route forward when we seemingly don't. Reading, City, Oxford, even arguably FGR.
Never change Cheltenham/Rovers.
