The fake STFC have signed 26 year old CB Sam Stubbs from Bradford, he spent the season at Cheltenham on loan last year.

A lot of Bristol Rovers chat on my X timeline for some reason:

Rumours with some repetition or reputable source:
- Luke Southwood joining from Bolton for a nominal fee
- Bid submitted for Macauley Langstaff
- Linked with Johnson Clarke Harris

Have to say any of them 3 would be fine business in this division if there’s any substance to the chatter

See Hume has gone Fleetwood. They must have a bit of cash with his assists last season he wouldn't be cheap!

6k a week by all accounts for Hume we could only offer half and he turned down league 1 clubs for them - hopefully the money and playing in front of 2k every week does it for him like .

Town will counter your 3k a week with a large pack of croutons, a monthly pint in Walkabout with the ASC and free entry to AFH's Lottery. Oh and the Belushi is good too {allegedly} Girl Giggle

The sad reality is, that Fleetwood have spent more time in League One {ten seasons} than both Grimsby {zero years} and Town {four seasons} have in at the last 10-11yrs. Although Fleetwood are down in League Two with us again, they'd ultimately be seen by outsiders and people in football as an underperforming club that should be in low to mid League One. From a player perspective that might be a good proposition as a stepping stone club, they'll feel there could be a good chance of playing in League One, and if they're also matching wages, it's probably a no brainer.

In regards league status, similarly I personally believe STFC should be a team challenging at the top end of League One - reality is different though. Like the fact your lot haven't been higher than the fourth tier for about twenty years {I think}...which is also quite sad too, on reflection.

I now await Tails to come and do a tl;dr, as they struggle with more than five words in a sentence Girl Giggle

A left back is not on 6k a week in league 2.

That's mental if true.

Thing is despite their rather murky ownership in recent times Fleetwood remain a wealthy club.

Fleetwood have been heavily backed in recent years by some deep pockets, since before Joey the dickhead was even manager there.

Barrow sign Tyler Walker
He used to be decent, only had 2 good seasons though so far the last one in 2020 and only got 5 goals in 4 seasons.

So Fleetwood are "wealthy" because their owner financially supports their losses with interest free loans (£17m by 2020), but our owner is bankrupting the club by loading it with debt according to most on here.

And their owner genuinely is a convicted, jailed fraudster unable to serve as a director.

Fleetwood have a modern (granted on the smaller side), clean, well functioning stadium with executive boxes, an impressive , modern training facility that they own and a category 2 academy (one of the best in the bottom 2 divisions) to show for it.
