Christ on a very expensive bicycle.

Looking up L2's most expensive signings, there's two Peterborough goalkeepers- Shwan Jalal and Joe Lewis in the mid 2000s but not much else. Allegedly Kaiyne Woolery to us in fifth https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/league-two/transferrekorde/wettbewerb/GB4/plus//galerie/0?saison_id=alle&land_id=alle&ausrichtung=alle&spielerposition_id=alle&altersklasse=alle&leihe=&w_s=&zuab=zu

As was rumoured last week.

Rumour is that Bolton POTY Aaron Collins looks set for an expensive transfer to MKD. He cost Bolton £750k last season.

Funny how Franchise can pay that on lower attendances  than us, just saying. Must have something to do with those Admin costs.

I think we're a bit more than admin expenses away from paying near seven figure transfer fees. That's not absolutely being well run, that's about having owners willing to invest over and above the money the club makes*

* Which, technically speaking, ours do, as we make a loss every year. But there are levels to this and we're very much not at the top end.

I don't think there's a single player that would be prepared to play in L2 that's worth a fee that size.

Oh and Franchise's cheapest season tickets last year were £386 and  the most expensive £580. So their cheapest was a whole £14 below our most expensive.

They got a % sell on clause from Matt O'Reilly, think it was around the value of £8 mil

Yes but still if we had a sell on from a deal giving us £5m+ it wouldnt be invested back into the playing side you can guarantee that 100%.

They have good sponsorship deals in place, like big names and the venue is used for concerts and that plus hotel in the ground as well. Should not equate to that deal but certainly makes them more sustainable and must make up for small gates.

They have a rich owner with deep pockets and ambition. That's the important bit. The rest is meaningless. If someones willing to spunk money to get you up, happy days.
