Kilkenny for me.
We definitely lost something when he went off. Freckleton was solid enough & Ripley made some important stops

Ripley.

Kilkenny was easily the best player til he went off. Freckleton had a solid 90. Tshimanga, apart from the pen missing was our most creative today. I go for Freckles over the 90

Kilkenny was MotM before he went off - Bizarre substitution, unless he was injured.
Glatzel was unlucky to be taken off as he was causing them problems - although he may have been knackered! But, as a front 3, the finishing was poor.
Butterworth was the only one to have a stinker, although Ameen didn't get into the game. Westley chased everything down.
Ofoborh had a good game.
But Ripley kept us in the game (until the OG) with several excellent saves and therefore gets my vote.

Weird how we all see things differently. I thought Tshimanga was crap today, ignoring the penalty.

DNA went for Ripley by a whisker. Other option was none of the above.

I thought he offered little & I’m amazed he finished the game. I’d have swapped him for Ameen 10 minutes into the second half.

Tshimanga set up at least 3 decent chances I thought. Ripley "kept us in the game"? Don't see that personally. Their keeper, yes

Agreed. Both keepers did well today for me, strikers will probably be disappointed with their finishing but both keepers did their jobs well. Kilkenny back to his best recently for me, looked really good in that first game against Notts (I think?) then dropped off. Him and Ofoborh is a nice partnership to have and complement eachother well. Clarke would be good to have in there too if he could do a whole season of it but maybe this half-half between midfield/CB and in and out of the team is the best we’ll get out of him. Smith again a good showing. Either get some wingers next to him to supply balls in or more potent forwards around him to pick up his flick ons and the attack is more than fine.

I felt a lot of the chances he created where less about deliberate skill on his part & more he just ran / stumbled into people & the ball just happened to ricochet around & land to our players tbh.

First half especially, some of Smith’s hold up play and deft lay offs was superb.

Yeah, I don't see it that way at all, that's why it's interesting! First half especially, some of Smith’s hold up play and deft lay offs was superb.
Particularly given the big lumps he was up against. Shame the shooting boots weren't in today - or the header equivalent
