I have a Chinese (Olevs) "almost" exact copy of the Rolex Submariner which cost me about £40 it looks just like the real thing and keeps good time.
Thats as close as I will ever get to owning one, so that does me perfectly, I rarely go anywhere anyway so it doesnt sit on my wrist for long.

I met a mates new GF last night. She works in the harrods watch department. Cheapeast watch is £1700. They go up to £79k. And then the mysteroious 'price on application'.
She was telling me about a new one coming out that is 700k.
I'd expect it to do more than tell me the time for any of those prices.

What does a £700k watch get you in that London?
A tap on the back of the head with an baseball bat or a knife to the midriff....

Probably a Richard Mille, if i was to take a guess. Huge ugly things that look like Ferrari engines on your wrist. They're popular with American rappers

Jeez, if I was spending 700k I'd want to be able to live in it.

I used to work for a company that had the marketing databases for several large companies, one of which was Patek Phillipe. One of the names on their database was the Sultan of Brunei, so always assumed they were quite good (and expensive) watches
