Got the grandson over and thinking of Laser Quest at Shaw.

Any good? And, more importantly, WTF is it?

A bit like paintballing but nothing physically fired

Used to go to the one in town when I was a kid, my youngest's football team have been a couple of times to the Shaw Ridge one on a sunday and it's been fairly busy, no idea about in the week though.

Used to work there when I was a teenager. I loved it. You wear a vest with a gun attached that has different points you can shoot at. Normally it's two teams but you can have solo games too.

Important thing to remember -don't run! Its dark and loud in there, and I had a couple of semi serious accidents including concussions and a broken bone because of kids running into each other.

Do they still ask you what your player name is before the game? As a witty 10 year-old I used to go by 'YOURSELF' so that when I shot someone, the display on their gun would say 'YOU WERE SHOT BY YOURSELF'.

Went to Air Hop in Bristol today which he loved.
