McEachran playing really well for Grimsby under Artell who desperately wanted our job. Not saying the players are good, but we've tried hundreds of players over the last season and a half and many of them have done better for other clubs. We're the problem, it's us.

Wright, Cox, McGregor and Kilkenny are the only regular starters I’ve watched this season and thought they had a bit about them.

All of them have now slipped to the same standard as the rest of them and look as poor as them, we are fucked.

Artell didn't desperately want our job offer by the way. The guys not an idiot and clearly didn't want to ruin any stock he gained at Crewe. The fact he accepted the Grimsby job is a sad state of affairs at our football club, no disrespect to Grimsby.

And, only a month or so ago Grimsby fans were calling for his head after a terrible end to last season and slow start to this season, hes still only got a 30% win rate there.

He would have been my pick to take over though before he went to Grims.

He might not have done after he spoke to our hierarchy, but he certainly applied and was publicly interested to begin with.

I'm sure we'd have done badly with him too. The rot is too deep at this point.

I think this statement is how I feel too.

Need a total fresh clean sweep of ALL the coaching staff and players (Sorry Mildy).

Coaching staff refresh definitely needed, I've been thinking that for a long time.

I cannot remember a single goalkeeper, or defender who has actually improved during their time with Swindon. Mildy/Gunning are the cheap options here and it shows with bells on it.

Memory is a little fuzzy but I think they picked between two at one point, Steve Hale / Steve Mildenhall.....always thought they got the wrong one.

Very despondent today, that was the biggest shit show I've ever witnessed last night, with the exception of McGregor and Drinan who both tried, the rest of them were like a pub team.....one that has been on the lash in Ibiza for the last 2 weeks.

As for Bycroft.....that lad would struggle to catch a cold yet alone stop goals going in. No wonder the defense is so nervous he has zero presence about him, and commanding the area is not in his skills locker.

I remember that period when Digby was back loaned to Man Utd as backup for them. The goalkeeping coach who was at Man Utd when Fraser left them to join us and was still there made a comment in the press that he was surprised that he still had the same faults as when he left, which I think goes to show that improving goalkeeping has always been an issue.

I’d also suggest that both Benda & Bryan improved, but think that is probably more down to having first team experience rather than the coaching they received when they were with us.
