It's something they were talking about on TalkSport and I thought it might be an interesting discussion point. So it's just your 4 most important or influential players or managers in STFC  history in your opinion. Not necessarily just the best players we've had, but those people who have had most impact

A bit like Adje's top 5 thread but with a twist.

we've been to Aberdeen, we hate the Hibs, they make us spew up, so make some noise,
the gorgie boys, for Hearts in Europe.

Interesting...Very much depends on your age of course but I will go with...

Don Rogers, Lou Macari, Glenn Hoddle, Jan Aage Fjortoft

Quite a good span of time covered with two players and two managers...

No Shaun Taylor? Regardless of his suitability, I can't think of a more perfect head to be chiseled out of the side of a mountain.

You could use his head as the chisel

A positive one, I assume? You could do the opposite very easily.

From 2014/15, a "rays of sunshine amongst the gloom" mount (I suggest it's a small mountain in between several sewage treatment facilities)

Michael Doughty
Eoin Doyle/Anthony Grant
Massimo Luongo
Scott Twine/Harry McKirdy

Or possibly Tom Broadbent for *that* goal alone. It's not on the same level as the all time legends group, but it's alright. We made a L1 playoff final and won L2 in that time.

Good shout Hmmm ...probably a toss up between OST and JAF in fairness. Couldn't be more different in their individual styles but equally iconic. How I miss them...

Manager Mount Rushmore
Danny Williams, Lou Macari, Ossie Ardiles and Glenn Hoddle.

Player Mount Rushmore
Harold Fleming, Don Rodgers, John Trollope and Shaun Taylor.

The 1st 3 are obvious, even if none of us saw Fleming play his impact on the club is immense, Don for obvious reasons, Trollope because no player will ever do that for us again and Taylor because he gave EVERYTHING for the club and would probably have died for us on the pitch.
