Looking at who is available I think I would probably go with this line up, 433/442 flexible formation. With McGregor and McGurk both being more creative and have Ofoborh and Kilkenny sitting deeper and McGurk having a more of a free role as a wide attacker when attacking and filling in as a midfielder when we are on the defensive.

Interesting Bob, Cain has only featured in 1 Holloway match day squad so far, the Mickey Mouse cup game with Spurs. He hasnt even made the bench in the other 2 games.

Drinan vs Smith is an interesting one too, Smith is obviously the better player but Drinan recently has been putting more of a shift in.

Smith seems to be a bit mentally unhinged at times though and has the red mist appear so is a liablility, but he does know where the net is when he is given a decent service.

Think Holloway will stick with 433. If that’s the case this is how I’d line up.
Harsh omission for McGregor but don’t think he fits in at RB and without a RWB or RW role not sure he gets in…

Didn’t think much of the performance last week.
As it stands, a team that creates one, maybe two big opportunities per game and doesn’t take them isn’t going to win many games.
Can’t see a win today.

Playing then as a two upfront would probably yield decent results if you had say McGregor & McGurk on the wings.

Don’t think anyone plays 442 anymore though…
