Perfection is not attainable

« on: Wednesday, October 9, 2024, 12:04:09 »

May as well start a thread.

Can we kick on after yesterday, or will Kennedy revert back to the under performing team he has put out lately?

Will their pitch be fit to play on after their game with Reading was postponed yesterday for being unplayable?

Can we win for the first time in the league and cups at Waddon Road? we have not won there in 9 meetings with just 3 finishing as a draw.

Town have sold out their small allocation of just 1,520 at their tiny little 7,000 capacity ground.

The last time I went there was the last time we won there, back in 1987 when Dave Hockaday scored the only goal in a pre season friendly win.

Time to banish that hoodoo but I dont have much faith that we will TBH.

Too dry was it?

We'll lose, it's Cheltenham (A). It doesn't matter how we play or who we pick.

1 : 1 draw, Drinan and Glatzel up front, Ameen on the bench.

Would like to see a midfield three of Ofoborh, Kilkenny and Butterworth or McGurk.

It will be one of those as Cotterill is unavailable.

I think it will be McGurk on the bench unfortunately, coming on for the last 20 or 30 if we're struggling. It's time to put the hoodoo behind us though. The last time I went Andy King described it as the worst night of his life.

I have a spare ticket going if anyone is desperate to witness our first competitive win there.

Morfuni is fair game but I hope the fans support the team. I will be. The "We're f*cking sh*t" chant really isn't the way to go.

Agreed. Could kind of understand it more if 4-0 down, but while still in the game...no
