1-2 Harrogate

STFC take the lead in first half

Then concede 2 late 2nd half goals.

I’m slightly dreading this tomorrow. I’ve tried to be blindly optimistic going to games recently, only to be consistently let down. I fear a defeat in what feels like a pre season match, with no away following and a sparse, non-league worthy home following. I want us to be a proper club again.

Our home gates against Harrogate...

Feb 2023  8,687
Mar 2024  7,683

Judging by the ticket site it looks like a 5.5k crowd.

That's some decline!

I'm going tomorrow - borrowing a ST.

We haven't had a sub 6k league game since 23rd March 2019 against Morecambe from what I can see.

Yes Morecambe in 2019 was our last sub 6k total attendance.

That same season we had 3 sub 6k attendances (Morecambe Cambridge and Stevenage) and also 5 sub 6k home attendances (Crewe, Col U, FGR, Mansfield and Oldham).

Last season we had 6,05 for a Tuesday game vs Accrignton which was 6,085 in total of which 6,011 were Town fans.

Lets see if we can break that target.

In fairness if they are to be believed (which I know is a bit of a stretch) there were something like 1500 ST’s given away (or at a very reduced rate), which would mean that 7,600 would be closer to 6,100.

I’m guessing we might struggle to hit that number, unless people come to look at the new shop front 😂

bad feeling about this . Unless harrowgut help out with putting the ball in their net I fear we will struggle to score.  Probably going to be a 1-0 defeat

Change of plans and I'm home instead of out. Guess I'll stick it on in hope of at least another point towards safety.

Would like to see Ofoborh start but can see the argument for starting our most creative midfield at home against Harrogate.
