Impressed by McGregor, not impressed by much else. Tranmere were appalling and were definitely there for the taking in the second half. Any side with a little bit of quality would’ve got three points.

Much improved second half but wouldn't mind if I never see Freckles or King(although of course,maybe he shouldn't have played)in the starting 11 again. McGregor a massive plus and decent from Drinan and Kilkenny

I’ll take a point away at the northern powerhouse that is Trannere Rovers.
I mean it’s not like it’s a place we can go away to and win 3-0 is it.

A point that just about keeps our neck above water…

I’m not his biggest fan but Drinan was a handful at times tonight. Aside the 40 passes out for a throw i’d keep Barden in the team for Saturday. McGregor superb.

I mean, we probably were the better team in this one. Not that it’s much of a claim.

Glad to be the slightly less crap team out of these 2 very poor teams who will both thank their lucky stars that there’s enough dross in this division that they’ll both keep their heads just above water this season.

McGregor looks decent, if nothing else is going to happen, give him a run of games and he’ll probably be our next Harley Hunt type sale.

I liked the work rate from all 3 forwards tonight but none of them ever looked like they were going to score.

That game cried out for many things, but Sean McGurk was one of them. Play him at the front of a midfield three, not this deep playmaker bollocks Kennedy is trying. Kilkenny gets the ball and passes it back to the back three - who either go wide (and then the wide players play to the back 3 - Cox turned back to Freckleton a lot tonight) or go long (and we lose it). So Kilkenny is not play making - he is simply a link in a chain that goes nowhere. That’s why the game passes Butterworth and Cotterill by. They rarely get the ball to feet quickly enough, and as a unit they exert no authority on the game. We have no control.

It’s - Back 3 -> Kilkenny -> Back 3 -> Wing Back -> Back 3 -> Long -> Lose it,
Or

Back 3 -> Kilkenny -> Back 3 -> Long -> Lose it.

That’s our pattern.

It’s a rotten system. I can’t think of any other team that plays this way, and maybe there is a reason for that.

We don't score goals through deliberate effort to score goals and patterns of play like normal sides. We score wonder goals or we get lucky and something weird happens.

Great from the lads in the second half, and now very much looking forward to Saturday's game.
