McGurk on for Butterworth.
Cain on for King.

Glatz misses a good chance, over the bar from 10 yards on the angle. Drinan did well to win that 1st ball.

I see there are lots of unsold seats for Saturday, the downward spiral continues. Will be bolstered by a few of our Welsh friends. But still.....

Town 0-3 Newport att: 6,655 (705 away)

I did alright with the attendance, but not the score  Cheesy

FT 4-0

Not faultless but pretty damn close to it, great pressure and everyone played well really, no passengers today.

Very pleased we got that monkey off our back.

Best all round performance for 9 months for me.

Cotterill, Kilkenny, Freckles and Glatzel all played really well but nobody played badly.

Foot definitely off the pedal in the second half. Job done in the first. Could have added a couple more but hopefully that win gives us some much needed confidence.

Also hope it gives Kennedy some idea of what his best 11 is and also that lumping it to Smith isn't always a smart idea.

Was that Saturday Gigs by Mott the Hoople ringing out at the CG just now?

Nostalgia about great Staurdays seems spot on today.  Pint

Smith's probably best to be used as a kind of last roll of the dice sub, bring on the big man, hope he can get his head on it

And to add to it, the youths beat Poxford 3-1 away in the Youth Alliance Cup earlier too.

I should stop watching matches and paying any attention to the score during the 90 mins  every week .

Relieved it seems there may be no further injuries to spoil a much better combination.
