Kennedy said it was at the insistence of the physio. Said it was part of concussion protocol and that player safety paramount.

Ah, that's fair enough.
Kennedy strikes me as a decent human being who will look out for his players in terms of avoiding public criticism.
That quality does not in itself guarantee the winning of football matches.

I would like him to succeed & the ongoing manager churn  will serve no useful purpose.

I suspect that we all want him to do well but unless he wins a football match or 2 soon then a change will have to happen.  His job is to get the best of out of his squad and he isn't doing that at the mo.

The manager churn has been ridiculous and every one seems worse than the previous one.  I thought sacking Flynn without bringing in a permanent replacement served no purpose and is an illustration of how poor and scattergun the decision making at the club is.

Flynn was a good manager. I stand by that.

He was incredibly let down by only having 13-14 passable league 2 players in his squad.

I reckon he'd get a tune out of this current squad.

We can't keep churning managers, doing the same thing time and time again.

We can't keep managers that look like taking us down either.

As someone just pointed out to me on Twitter, the problem is it seems nobody else wants the job..

The very best outcome is Kennedy turns this around, obviously.

I'm not suggesting the time is now, way too early, but how long does Kennedy get to do it? It's probably until some time in November for me.

Sacking Flynn and then spending the next 6 months doing nothing forward planning was the worst bit. Okay if you’re writing the season off in January then you’ve got it pretty badly wrong somewhere but if you’re going to do that, then at least utilise the rest of the season to forward plan into the next with a head coach in place that you want as soon as possible and start working a system you want to take forward.

Giving it to Gunning for some CV padding and then still taking a decent chunk of time post season to find a head coach was baffling.

The players will all be feeling the pressure to get the win - Kennedy is just trying to take the pressure off them. The best thing we can do is support them onto a win this Saturday 🤞

Not that much to go on but what we have seen doesn't promote confidence in the manager's abilities .   but the squad looks like a sow's ear and I always understood you can't make much with one of those .

Nobody wants to work under the unorganised crime mob, especially ex players who are well aware of the current situation at the club.

Genuinely might be Luc Nijholts time, he's wanted it forever.

I think decent managers would struggle under this regime the problem is at board level they don’t know what they’re doing

Simply put we have to get them to sell somehow. Where are the trust in all this they do seem very quiet

I'd imagine the idea was to give it to gunning full stop. But it went to shit and a fan backlash put paid to it.

Not sure why they didn't do that from day 1 though.  Maybe qualifications related or simply wanted to see how it went.

Not that this prevented a plan b being formed

Because when it went to shit they'd have to sack him, then Gav could publish the incriminating photos/evidence.

Probably the same reason our non Vice Chairman is still around, he knows where the (metaphorical) bodies are buried

Jamie Russell will be under massive pressure if this fails as well

Exactly that, if the budget was competitive then someone has to be accountable if performances on the pitch don’t improve.

Pork scratchings?

I don't think this is a poor squad, there's plenty of experience and players that have played at a higher level and for once the bench isnt full of kids. It lacks a bit of pace and guile but looks like a solid div 4 squad.

What we have seen is a complete lack of identity, players playing out of position, the ball repeatedly hoofed to the corner flag and almost zero service to the forwards.  That is down to the management and coaching.

It's Sheridanesque tbh
